SUN Bucks for Summer 2025!

SUN Bucks is a food program that provides families $40 a month towards groceries for the months of  June, July, and August —

that’s $120 total to assist families when school meals aren’t available.

 Who Gets It Automatically?

• Those that are qualified for free or reduced-price school meals through CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal
• Those in foster care, are homeless, or a runaway.

These children are automatically enrolled and DO NOT need to complete an application. 

Who Needs to Apply?

Students that do not qualify through the programs above must apply using the Universal Benefits Application (UBA).  

Families have till September 2, 2025 to apply. 

SUN Bucks will be mailed out to families in Fall/Winter of 2025 for those completing a Universal Benefit Application this summer.
